Like Cycling?

Posted on Sep 16th, 2006 by Bobbo : Minstrel of Environment Bobbo

zFriends - Most of you will recognize I'm not a power user on the network. I like to check in pretty regular but don't post every time. One of 2 things happen - my fingers can't keep up with my mind OR my thoughts get all wrapped up and it takes me a while to "unwrap" them - LOL. In addition - there are s-o-o-o-o many links to follow - a LOT of great people!

In an attempt to reach out - I posted this entry on my cycling pod and thought I'd blog it too. I want to find out how many views it might generate. And I want to be able to tag it - see if there are others blogging about cycling. Selfishly - I'm looking for tips on cycling gear. If you're looking here - then you are part of this learning curve. Comments always welcome.

It's beginning to cool a bit in the NW. I love the fall for riding - but, dang, its c-o-l-d when I first climb on. And the wind can come out of nowhere.

If you're a member on this little pod or merely visiting - and you have your notifications set to see this note :) - lets talk about gear. Specifically - how do you stay warm until the ride warms you up! Thus far, I am still in shorts but have added a long sleeve top. I purchased at Eddie Bauer and its a wool blend that wicks the moisture. Its working so far - but I can feel a jacket may be in my future purchases. Also some type of pants or leggings. What do you use or recommend?

I finally made the plunge to clip in cycling shoes and NEW socks. What a difference! Never realized how much power is lost without using the EVERY leg muscle!

Come say "Hi" and Keep riding!
